Be Free To Be Happy
|
Happiness is founded on freedom. When our freedom is limited, it’s very hard to be happy. With mindfulness, we use our breath to invite freedom into each moment. Breathing in and out mindfully, we can find freedom from judgment, freedom from fear, and freedom from suffering. With mindfulness, each step we take brings us closer to freedom from stress and anxiety. Each mindful breath is a chance to find freedom from tension and anger. Every mindful action we are fully present for allows us to have freedom from the busyness and suffering in the mind. True mindfulness is freedom from attachment, being here and now, just being. Be free, and you’ll naturally be happy.

Laugh + Be Free
Being free and innocent isn’t a luxury of our youth, we can access these heartwarming qualities anytime we’re connected to the present moment. We can allow laughter and our fun-loving energy to come through into our day. We can take pleasure in new challenges, find creativity in everyday tasks, and spread our enjoyment around to other people in our life. It’s good to be goal-oriented, but we must remember to be present and enjoy each moment, especially in times we share with our loved ones. Life can feel busy, but we can always make some time to be silly and joyful with those we love to boost our own energy, our connective bonds, and contribute positively to each moment.
Freedom in Awareness
There will be times in our life were we feel uncomfortable, unfocused, bored, or dissatisfied in one way or another. Life offers us both happiness and suffering, so we must accept that there will occasionally be these unpleasant times. We can gracefully navigate these difficulties by remembering there is infinite awareness available in each moment. With gentle determination, we can refocus our full attention on being observant and engaged with the present moment, leaving no room to feel bothered by dissatisfaction. By being fully aware of our conversations, activities, and consumption, we can immerse ourselves in the richness and vibrancy of each moment and enjoy the brilliance of life. When we keep our attention focused on the present moment, we’re freed from our distracting and unpleasant thoughts.

Deepen Your Understanding: When we are present, we are truly living. With mindfulness, we can enjoy taking in every second, every color, every sound, every smell, and every sensation as they are now, in this moment.

Don’t Chase After Happiness
Freedom from Waiting
Sometimes it can feel like all we’re doing is waiting. Waiting for work to be over, waiting in traffic, waiting for appointments, waiting for responses, waiting for the right conditions to feel satisfied. Some people spend their whole life waiting to start living. All we must do to break free of the strain of waiting is to remember that waiting is a state of mind. We want the future, we don’t want the present. We want something we don’t have, instead of truly acknowledging the blessing of what we currently have. This state of mind, detached from the present moment, creates an inner conflict for us. We’re too busy thinking of the future to notice the prosperous qualities of the now. Whenever we catch ourselves slipping into a state of waiting, we can take a deep breath and return our focus to the fullness of the present moment. When we are present, there’s no room in our awareness for the state of waiting. We can enjoy our breathing, our physical sensations, and just being in the moment. We can avoid the nerves of anticipation and the discomfort of boredom when we detach from the perpetual state of constantly waiting and enter the fulfilling state of constant curiosity. Being grateful and attentive to the details of the here and now is true, guaranteed prosperity. Don’t waste your precious time waiting around, live your life inspired and fully connected to the joy and wonder in every moment.
Exhaling + Letting Go
|
Our exhale is a powerful tool to let go of thoughts, feelings, and energy that doesn’t serve us. On our inhale, we can enjoy breathing in refreshing, clear energy. Then, on our exhale, we can cleanse our system of any built up stress, consciously freeing ourselves from our worries, pain, and suffering as we gently breathe out. Inhale, vitality. Exhale, freedom.
“Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.” --Eckhart Tolle |
